How does Meow help keep my account secure?

Last updated: October 30, 2026

Meow protects your account with two-factor authentication, approval workflows, and role-based permissions. Here's how they work and what we recommend for your team.

Built-in protections

Best practices for your team

  1. Give everyone their own login. Never share credentials.

  2. Use least-privilege roles. For example, one person initiates wires and ACH payments and another approves them.

  3. Set limits and dual approval for larger payments.

  4. Restrict sensitive actions, such as adding or editing payment recipients, issuing cards, or changing security settings, to a small group.

  5. Review activity and user access regularly, such as once a month, and remove access when someone leaves.

  6. Be careful with API keys and AI agents. Give each key only the permissions it needs. See How do I create API keys and test in the Meow sandbox?

Security reports and compliance documents

You can request Meow's SOC 2 report and other security documents through the Meow Trust Center.

Is my money insured?

Meow Technologies is a financial technology company, not a bank. Deposits are held at our FDIC-insured partner banks, and eligible balances are protected up to $125 million through their sweep networks. See Business Checking for details.
