Can customers make partial payments on invoices?

Our invoicing feature does support partial payments but with some limitations depending on the payment method:

Payment Options

  • ACH (Automated Clearing House): Customers can make partial payments.

  • Wire Transfer: Partial payments are allowed.

  • Credit/Debit Card: Partial payments are not supported at this time.

  • ACH Direct Debits: Partial payments are not supported at this time.

How to Process Partial Payments

To accept partial payments via ACH or wire transfer:

  1. Inform your customer that they can make a partial payment using either ACH or wire transfer.

  2. Provide them with the necessary banking information for the transfer.

  3. Once the partial payment is received, update the invoice in the system to reflect the amount paid.

  4. The remaining balance will stay on the invoice until it is fully paid.
