How do I provide international wire instructions to someone sending money to my Meow account?
Last updated: April 10, 2026
When someone needs to wire money to your Meow account from an international bank, the instructions they need are slightly different from a standard domestic wire. Providing incorrect details — particularly around the intermediary bank — is one of the most common reasons international incoming wires get returned.
Where to find your incoming wire instructions
Log in to your Meow dashboard and go to Deposit for the relevant account. Your international wire instructions will include:
Beneficiary bank
Intermediary bank
Intermediary bank SWIFT/BIC
Your routing number
Your account number
Critical: The SWIFT/BIC code in your Meow wire instructions belongs to the intermediary bank, not the beneficiary bank.
Why do international wires get returned?
The most common causes of returned international wires to Meow are:
Our partner bank not referenced as the beneficiary bank. If the sender enters the intermediary bank as both the intermediary and the beneficiary, the wire will be returned.
Incorrect account number. Double-check the account number matches exactly what's shown in your Meow dashboard.
