Settlement Windows for Different Payment Types
When expecting incoming payments, it's important to understand the typical settlement times for different transaction types:
ACH Transactions: Typically take three full business days to settle
Domestic Wire Transfers: Usually settle within the same business day if sent before the 4:00 PM EST cutoff time. Wires sent after cutoff time or on weekends/holidays will be processed the next business day
International Wire Transfers: Usually settle within three business days
What to Do If Payments Are Delayed
If you're experiencing delays beyond these typical settlement windows, follow these steps:
Double-check the initiation date of the transfer
Verify with the sender that the transfer was successfully initiated
Collect the following information for each delayed payment:
Payment Confirmation PDF (if available)
Date the payment was sent
Amount of the transfer
Trace ID or Fed Ref Number
Contact our support team with the collected information for further assistance
Important Considerations
Business days typically exclude weekends and holidays
The wire cutoff time is at 4:00 PM EST
The ACH cutoff time is at 5:30 PM EST
International wire transfers may take longer than domestic ones
By understanding these settlement windows and having the necessary information ready, you can more effectively track and manage your incoming payments.
