Settlement Windows for Different Payment Types

When expecting incoming payments, it's important to understand the typical settlement times for different transaction types:

  • ACH Transactions: Typically take three full business days to settle

  • Domestic Wire Transfers: Usually settle within the same business day if sent before the 4:00 PM EST cutoff time. Wires sent after cutoff time or on weekends/holidays will be processed the next business day

  • International Wire Transfers: Usually settle within three business days

What to Do If Payments Are Delayed

If you're experiencing delays beyond these typical settlement windows, follow these steps:

  1. Double-check the initiation date of the transfer

  2. Verify with the sender that the transfer was successfully initiated

  3. Collect the following information for each delayed payment:

    • Payment Confirmation PDF (if available)

    • Date the payment was sent

    • Amount of the transfer

    • Trace ID or Fed Ref Number

  4. Contact our support team with the collected information for further assistance

Important Considerations

  • Business days typically exclude weekends and holidays

  • The wire cutoff time is at 4:00 PM EST

  • The ACH cutoff time is at 5:30 PM EST

  • International wire transfers may take longer than domestic ones

By understanding these settlement windows and having the necessary information ready, you can more effectively track and manage your incoming payments.
