Can I send a wire before the funds arrive in my account?
Last updated: April 10, 2026
No. Meow requires funds to be available in your account balance before an outgoing wire can be sent. You cannot initiate a wire against incoming funds that are still in transit or pending.
What should I do if I'm waiting on an incoming wire?
Once the incoming wire posts to your Meow account, you can immediately initiate or schedule your outgoing wire. Incoming domestic wires are typically posted the same business day they are received, as long as they arrive before your banking partner's cutoff.
If you need to send the outgoing wire on the same day the incoming wire arrives, keep in mind the 4:00 PM Eastern cut-off for same-day domestic wires. If the incoming wire posts close to the cut-off, you may need to send the outgoing wire the following business day.
Can I pre-schedule an outgoing wire for when funds arrive?
You can schedule a wire for a future date, but it will only process if funds are available at the time of processing. If your balance is insufficient when the scheduled wire is due to send, the transfer will not go through. We recommend confirming funds have posted before relying on a scheduled wire for a time-sensitive payment.
What's the fastest way to move funds once they arrive?
As soon as an incoming wire posts and your balance updates, go to Move Money in your dashboard and initiate the outgoing wire. If your timing is tight, reach out to support at support@meow.com and we can help monitor the incoming wire and flag when it's available.
