What is Meow for AI Agents?
Last updated: April 13, 2026
Meow is the first business banking platform built for AI agents. Your AI assistant can do more than answer questions about your finances — it can actually take action on them: open bank accounts, send payments, issue cards, check balances, and audit spend, all through natural language.
What can Meow's AI agent banking do?
Meow's AI infrastructure supports two distinct use cases:
1. Automate your existing Meow account Connect any MCP-compatible AI assistant (Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and others) to your Meow account. Your AI can then check balances, initiate transfers, manage cards, pull transaction history, and more — without you having to log in and navigate the dashboard manually.
2. Let AI agents open their own bank accounts AI agents can now open full business bank accounts on Meow programmatically. This is the first financial infrastructure of its kind — enabling autonomous agents to hold funds, make payments, and operate financially, independent of a human-managed account.
How does it work technically?
Meow uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that allows AI assistants to connect to external services securely. The Meow MCP server exposes your account's capabilities to your AI tool of choice, using OAuth for authentication.

What AI tools are compatible?
Meow works with any MCP-compatible client, including Claude (via Claude.ai or Claude Code), Cursor, VS Code, ChatGPT, and Gemini. See How do I connect Meow to Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT? for client-specific setup guides.
Is this secure?
Yes. The Meow MCP server uses OAuth for authentication, meaning your AI tool receives only the access you authorize — not your password or unrestricted account control.
