How do I freeze or unfreeze a Meow card?

Freezing a card temporarily prevents it from being used for new purchases without permanently closing it. This is useful if a card is misplaced, you suspect unauthorized use, or you want to pause spending temporarily.

How to freeze a card

  1. Go to app.meow.com/cards.

  2. Click on the card you want to freeze.

  3. In the card detail panel, click Freeze card.

The card is frozen immediately. Any in-progress or pending transactions that were already authorized may still process.

How to unfreeze a card

  1. Go to app.meow.com/cards.

  2. Click on the frozen card.

  3. Click Unfreeze card.

The card is reactivated immediately and can be used for new purchases right away.

What's the difference between freezing and closing a card?

Freezing is temporary — you can unfreeze the card at any time. Closing a card is permanent and cannot be undone. If you're unsure whether you'll need the card again, freeze it first rather than closing it.
