Setup Rippling Payroll with Business Checking

Meow Technologies is a financial technology company, not a bank or FDIC-insured depository institution. Banking services are provided by Grasshopper Bank, N.A.

  1. As a Rippling Admin navigate to the "Payroll" tab under "Finance" on the left hand side of your dashboard

2. Navigate to the "Settings" tab at the top of the Payroll dashboard

3. On the left sidebar of the "Settings" page click "Payroll Bank Account"

4. On this page you will first need to add your Meow Checking account

5. Click this button and on the following page click the button for "Add new account". You then may be asked for a multi-factor authentication to confirm your identity

6. On the next screen click the option for "Instant verification with Plaid"

7. Within Plaid search for "Meow". Click the Meow icon and follow the steps to authenticate your account with Meow.

8. Once you've completed adding your Meow Checking account to Rippling via Plaid. Go back to the "Payroll Bank Account" page and click the the dot icon next to "Default Bank Account" then "Swap Account"

9. On the following page select the Beneficiary account name labelled "Meow Cash Management" and then click "Save"

10. Rippling may require you fund your first payroll run with a new bank account via wire transfer. Check your email for an email from no-reply@rippling.com with subject "Wire required on next payroll run for <business name> due to a recent change of bank account". You can find instructions on how to initiate a wire to rippling here

Wire transfers sent from Grasshopper Bank N.A. will be sent from a wire settlement account and may fail account verification due to the settlement account's number being different from your account. In this case, please send a bank verification letter to Rippling which you can find by following these instructions
