Do I receive a 1099 form for my brokerage account?
Last updated: April 10, 2026
Meow Advisory LLC is providing the following information regarding the upcoming tax reporting season on behalf of Atomic Brokerage LLC
If your company is registered as a C-corporation, you will not receive a 1099 form. C-corporations are exempt from 1099 reporting requirements according to IRS regulations. Most other business entity types, including LLCs, partnerships, and sole proprietorships, DO receive 1099 forms for Treasury interest and other brokerage income. However, if your LLC has elected to be taxed as a C-corporation, it will also be exempt from 1099 reporting.
If you are eligible for a 1099, it will be available on this page by the end of February: https://app.meow.com/bny/bonds/us?tab=statements on the Brokerage Documents tab
What types of income does this apply to?
This exemption applies to various types of income earned through your account, including:
Interest income from Treasury securities
Interest from banking partners
Income from certificates of deposit (CDs)
What about tax reporting?
While 1099 forms are not issued, you should still maintain your own records of interest income for corporate tax filing purposes. In some cases, you may be able to request a courtesy statement from our banking partners for your records, though this is not an official tax document.
If you need documentation of your interest income for internal record-keeping, please contact our support team who can help request a courtesy statement.
